Saturday Sprouts

Saturday Sprouts is a new program aimed for children ages preschool through first grade and includes a story, a craft, and a snack centered around a different theme each month. It’s a hands-on way for young kids to learn, create, and enjoy time in the environment.

This month we’ll focus on the incredible bison that call our park home and learn more about these powerful and important animals. Participants will enjoy reading books about bison, discovering how they live, what they eat, and why they are important. We’ll use our five senses to observe the world around us and, if we’re lucky, we might even see real bison during our time at the park!

For our craft, children will create paper bag bison puppets, giving them a fun, hands-on way to connect with what they’ve learned. We’ll wrap up with a themed snack, reinforcing the joy of learning about and appreciating the wildlife that lives at our park.
