Antler Round-Up
Calling all adventurers! From 10 AM–1 PM, search for hidden antlers on our property. While you can't keep the antlers, finding one earns you a prize! It’s a unique outdoor scavenger hunt for all ages. Registration isn’t required but spots are limited.

Spring Break Camp: Wildlife Wonders
Discover the incredible animals of LC Nature Park during this fun-filled day camp. Start the morning with a Park Safari Hike followed by playtime. Hear from our Herd Manager about caring for the bison and elk, go on a safari bus ride, and make a wildlife-themed art project.
Cost: $50/ camper $135 for all three days

Dive into the natural world with hands-on exploration at LC Nature Park during this fun-filled day camp. Start the morning with a Nature Scavenger Hunt followed by craft time using found items. Learn about fish, frogs, and other aquatic animals, and then head down to the creek for some exploration.

Wildreness Adventurers
Learn outdoor survival basics and how to thrive in nature at LC Nature Park during this fun-filled day camp. Start the morning by learning navigation skills followed by shelter building in the woods. Learn knot tying and fire making, and then create your very own map!

Nature Explorers- In the small, small pond
Hop into fun as we explore the fascinating world of amphibians in and around the pond! Enjoy story time, a craft, a snack, an animal meet-and-greet, and nature exploration. Perfect for kids who love to get hands-on with nature.

1st Park Open Day
Explore the park every Saturday starting April 19! Enjoy hikes, safari bus rides, and special programs as you discover the beauty of LC Nature Park.

Trillium Fest
Come out to LC Nature Park for a day of FREE nature exploration. The trails are open as the forest blooms with trilliums, spring beauties, dutchman britches, and more! We will have snacks, games, crafts, food trucks, and all kinds of fun activities.

Picnic on the Prairie
Celebrate Mother’s Day weekend with a delicious pre-ordered picnic brunch surrounded by the park’s natural beauty. Pre-registration is required at least a week in advance so we can order the picnics.
You have the option of a Breakfast or Lunch Box which you can choose when you register.
Breakfast: Good Morning Grazing Box: A full-sized muffin served alongside a greek yogurt and granola parfait, hard-boiled eggs, fresh fruits, and candied bacon.
Lunch: Chicken Salad Wrap & Grazing Box - Chicken Salad made with Slow Roasted Chicken, Green Grapes, Mandarin Oranges, Celery, Onion, and a Sweet & Savory Creamy Dressing on a Wheat Tortilla with Romaine Lettuce. Enjoy alongside Charcuterie style meats, cheeses, fresh fruits & vegetables, a house-made dip, and crackers.

This hike lasts about 90-120 minutes and travels 1.3 miles.

Local Food Week Hike
Ever wonder what the native Indiana landscape looked like before we got here? What plants are indigenous to Indiana? What animals roamed our great lands?
Now is your chance.
We are hosting a special all-ages, kid-friendly hike for Local Food Week with the Northeast Indiana Local Food Network.
Enjoy a 1.4-mile (90-120 minute) trek through the park, where you will find yourself surrounded by our restored native woods and grasslands and discover the elk and bison who call LCNP home.

Beginner's Guide to Cooking Local w/ Chef Aaron Butts
Have you ever felt intimidated by local produce? What the heck is a fennel bulb? Why do my herbs go bad so fast? What can I do with all these radishes in my CSA?
Local Chef Aaron Butts will show you how to properly prep, store, and create quick, simple recipes using produce from local farms. If you've ever been intimidated by offerings at farmer's markets or in your CSA, or if you've let produce go bad because you're unsure what to do with it, this workshop is for you!

This event takes place immediately before our June Public Hike. Feel free to attend both, or just one.
Join us as we welcome Brendan Maxwell and Nick Brehany from Utopian Coffee for a pre-hike chat about coffee flavor profiles, qualities, and ethics. Enjoy a cup of joe & pastry while they tell their beautiful story of coffee. (The perfect pre-hike sustenance!)
