Visitor Guidelines

All hike/program participants will be required to sign a waiver.

For your safety and the welfare of our bison and elk, all hikes and tours are guided and scheduled in advance here.

For your personal safety:

Dress for outdoor conditions such as heat, sun, rain, insects, and uneven terrain. Long pants, long sleeves, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, insect repellant, and water are recommended.

Always remain on trails and with your group.

Stay alert for sudden weather changes.

Remain at least three feet away from all fences and gates.

Avoid startling the bison and elk by remaining quiet and calm when the animals are nearby.

To preserve the park’s natural beauty:

Dogs, horses, bicycles, motorbikes, drones, firearms, smoking, vaping, open flames, and off-road vehicles are not allowed.

Leave all plants, flowers, rocks, feathers, antlers, live animals, and other natural materials where you find them.

If you create trash, carry it out. There are no trash containers on the trails.

Respect private property bordering the park.

Your program leader may apply additional guidelines not listed here.
