Under the Beams

  • LC Nature Park Roanoke, IN 46783 USA (map)

We are delighted to invite you to Under the Beams, a special event celebrating the rich history of our two barns at LCNP.

Join us as Duncan Campbell, former Director of the Historic Preservation Graduate program at Ball State, presents an enlightening exploration of our barns' origins, construction techniques, and their essential role in the community's agricultural heritage. During the presentation, we will have the opportunity to delve into the stories behind these magnificent structures and gain a deeper understanding of their architectural significance. Over the years, the LCNP barns have stood as iconic symbols of our region's agricultural past and have witnessed countless generations of hard work. Now they are a place of camaraderie, education, and preservation for Indiana's natural history and native environment.

The walk and talk will conclude with a Q& A, and apple pie! We hope you can join us!
